Welcome

My number one goal is to provide a relaxing space for clients to receive counseling services. Many clients seek out therapy not really knowing what to expect. It can be a little scary to take a deeper look at ourselves, thinking patterns, behaviors and our role in relationships. It is my priority to offer a welcoming space for each client.

About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and EMDR-trained therapist with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Slippery Rock University. I have worked in the mental health field since 1996, helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship challenges, burnout, grief, low self-esteem and major life transitions. I understand how easy it is to become overwhelmed by the demands of work, family, relationships and everyday responsibilities. You may spend so much time caring for others, managing expectations or simply trying to hold everything together that you lose sight of your own needs. Whether you are processing painful experiences, feeling emotionally exhausted, struggling with overthinking or wondering what comes next, therapy can provide a supportive place to slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing and begin moving forward. My approach is warm, collaborative, practical and tailored to you. I draw from EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion and trauma-informed care. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, we will work together to understand the patterns influencing your thoughts, emotions, relationships and behaviors. Therapy is not only about identifying what is going wrong. It is also about recognizing the strengths, resilience and wisdom you already possess. Together, we can develop effective coping tools, strengthen boundaries and communication, clarify your values and create meaningful goals for the future. I also understand that life does not always fit neatly into a therapy workbook. I am a working mom of twins, a wife, a business owner, an overthinker and a proud dog mom to Loki, my Basenji. I know what it is like to balance competing responsibilities while trying to make room for your own well-being. I bring warmth, honesty and occasional humor into the therapy room because healing does not always have to feel formal. Sometimes it involves meaningful reflection, and sometimes it begins with feeling comfortable enough to take a breath, feel understood and simply be yourself. My goal is to help you feel more confident, grounded and connected to yourself. You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy, and you do not have to navigate this season of your life alone.
